Terms of Service

You must be at least 13 years old to use Cappd. If you are under 18, you confirm you have a parent or guardian's permission to use the Service.

You're responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account and password, and for all activity that happens under your account. Let us know immediately if you suspect any unauthorised use of your account.

You agree to provide accurate information when creating your account and to keep it up to date.

When you post photos, ratings, comments, or other content ("User Content"), you retain ownership of it. By posting, you grant Cappd a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, display, reproduce, and distribute that content within the Service — for example, showing your check-ins to your followers or on a public cafe page.

You're solely responsible for the content you post. You agree not to post content that:

• Is illegal, defamatory, or infringes someone else's rights (including copyright)
• Is harassing, hateful, or abusive toward another person
• Impersonates another person or entity
• Contains spam or unauthorised advertising

We reserve the right to remove any content that violates these Terms, and to suspend or terminate accounts that repeatedly do so.

Cappd allows you to check in at cafes and other locations, which may involve sharing your location and creating map data tied to your account. You can control what's visible on your public profile through the app's privacy settings.

Cafe and business information shown in the app is aggregated from user submissions and third-party mapping data (currently Mapbox) and may not always be accurate or up to date. If you're a cafe owner and believe information about your business is incorrect, contact us at contact@drinkcappd.com.

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to access another user's account without permission
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service, including through automated scraping or bots
• Use the Service to collect personal information about other users without consent

Cappd relies on third-party providers to operate, including Supabase (authentication, database, and storage) and Mapbox (maps and location search). Your use of the Service is also subject to the applicable terms of these providers where relevant.

You may delete your account at any time through the app's settings. We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service if you violate these Terms, at our discretion.

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee the accuracy of cafe information, ratings, or other user-generated content, and are not responsible for the quality of any coffee, cafe, or experience reviewed on the Service.

To the extent permitted by law, Cappd and its operator will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.

We may update these Terms from time to time. We'll notify users of material changes through the app or by email. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

These Terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia.
